A funky little match
Pinot Gris Hugel 2001 Tradition, Alsace
Good depth and intensity. A soft bouquet indicating nice concentration and maturity. Very ripe fruit aromas of apple, pear, pomegranate, acacia blossom are present. The palate reveals its elegance, fine structure and body. Overall impression is of a dry, sturdy, full bodied wine.
We recommend Mas Pares foie gras to accompany this wine.
We have in stock a new foie gras from Spain produced by a company called Mas Pares. When we were first asked to try it we were a little hesitant as to whether it could be as good as French foie gras. But then we tried some and were convinced that it could not only be as good but better! Mas Parιs was founded in 1983 and has been producing foie gras on a commercial scale for 8 years, perfecting their specialities through experimentation and experience, and becoming one of the top Spanish producers of duck and goose products.
Or start the summer with what was a great success last year
..
Marques de Caceres
From the Spanish Rioja Alto wine making region. Attractive coral colour. Fine bouquet of raspberries and strawberries with a hint of floral aromas, giving a certain finesse to this wine. Full fresh fruit with clean balanced flavours.
'Perfect accompaniment to fish, pork and chicken, also ideal with pasta, paella and lightly spiced dishes and delicious on its own as a fresh aperitif'
